Frequently asked questions
How old do I have to be to use the gym?
We offer a variety of classes at the gym. Our Mini Ninja Class requires all participants to be at least 4 years old, while for our Level 1 Ninja Classes you need to be at least 8 years old. Parkour classes begin at age 6 years, and open gym participants to be at least six years old*. We do make exceptions for birthday parties, competitions and private lessons as long as there is a guardian present. Please call if you have any additional questions regarding our age policy.
What should I bring with me to the gym?
We ask that all guests at our gym bring a water bottle. Don't worry, we have a water fountain and we sell beverages and snacks in case you forget. Please do not bring valuables or nonessential items to our gym. We prefer that those items stay safely at home since you will not need them.
What should I wear to Ninja Quest?
You should wear active clothing and shoes. You want to be comfortable and able to move freely. A T-shirt, sweatpants or shorts, and sneakers will do the trick! If you have long hair, you may want to keep it pulled back so it doesn't get in the way. We highly recommend that you wear shoes that have a strong grip and thin soles. This allows you to feel and grip the various obstacles in our gym and significantly decreases the risk of injuries and accidents.

Why doesn't Ninja Quest enforce the wearing of masks?
After extensive consideration and securing a great deal of consultation on the subject of mask wearing in a gym during work outs, it is our conclusion that the risk of compromised health is greater, working out while wearing a mask than risk of contracting Covid-19. We have reached out to many clients who are themselves doctors or working in the medical community, some working closely with Covid-19 patients, as well as our own on staff chiropractor. We are striving to stay ahead of the concerns and the complications involving precautionary measures in preventing any illness, Covid-19 included. We, as a gym, have an obligation to be apprised of any new information and advancements in the spread of any infection, whether it be viral or bacterial. We, here at Ninja Quest, hold to the highest standards of disinfecting and keeping our gym a safe and reliable place to strengthen your immune system through exercise and healthy activity, while maintaining the strict rules of engagement. Our coaches have been further trained to look for all signs of illness in the children we serve and are in communication with parents about children's health and well-being. They are keeping a close eye on any contact between students and any of cold or tiredness. In conclusion our research and consultation is that children undergoing such activity while wearing a mask greatly decreases their oxygen intake and bodily response to the healthy stress on their body that may result in asthma attacks (even in a healthy child), fainting and nausea, among other compromising results. Mask wearing also compromises our coach’s ability to read expressions and signs of distress on children's faces which we feel are critical in the Coach/student relationship. We are in communication with our community about parents choosing to wear masks while observing their children and leave it to the parents discretion while providing plenty of space for another parent to keep fair distance from a parent not choosing to wear a mask. We are making every effort to provide a safe and healthy environment for parents and children and as of yet, we can report no Covid among employees or spread of illness anywhere in our gym. Any clients who have contracted Covid did not do so at the gym and have stayed away during any time of contagion. It is our hope you can join us in keeping our gym a safe place. If you are aware of any new information, do not hesitate to speak with any of our upper management about your concerns. These are evolving times and we are being flexible as well as vigilant, in our response to Covid-19 and any illness that poses a threat to our community. We welcome your communication and wisdom as we are listening to all of our parents with full concern and awareness.
